You can't use the DC header with an EGR valve, it says it right on the box, before you even open it.

I ordered the DC Sports Header yesterday for my 2000 GTS. I just can't wait to see if there is a noticeable gain in HP. Does anyone know anything about the Celica's Synchros?

If so, write back please...

Thanks, Paul

wat about the celica synchros, if you have a 2000 there mite be a problem with them, make sure you get it check before the 60,000 k waranty expires, i had my hole trani replace because i had 3 bad synchros and everytime i shift it would make this nasty sound, get it check or spend 3 gs in a new trani

You can too use the DC header on the '03 after march GTS. Go to the nearest toyota dealer and get another exhaust gasket for your car. Take that to a muffler shop and most of them can make a plate that covers the EGR holes to go in between the header and the head on the engine. I just had mine done the other day and it worked great! I'll take some pics of it and post them soon. thumbsup

Any way to install it without removing the exhaust O2 sensors? because when i did my exhaust my brother stripped one of them bad. luckily hes an engineer so he brought home a tool and die retapping kit and retapped it. then he used some kinda metal sealant on it. I have the headers and am looking to do the install this saturday and hopefully there is enough flex in the wires that i don't have to take it out. confused

I couldn't get the O2 sensors out with every tool my friends and I had. So I just cut the wires in different places so I knew where each one went back and crimped them all back together with connectors. Worked great for me.

u can do it with out taking the exhaust pipe out. but trust me its going to be way harder if you dont, you will have to follow the other guide if you dont want to remove the exhaust, i found this the best and easy way, i said use the universal wrench to get the o2 sensors out, use long pipes to give you more leabrage

you go ahead and try to remove the bolts from the header with out taking the valve cover, its pretty much for more room and space to work with.

Anyone know if the Hondata gasket is a good one to go with the headers?

Oh I see thanks thumbsup. What would be a good manifold gasket to replace the stock one?

as of right now there is no header out there that gives good gains, maybe the trd race header but thats 1g and really hard to find. so wait for tpr, the tpr header is not available yet, but will soon ones the intakes and exhaust start to ship.

maybe more than a month, right now the owner of the company is on a deep hole doe to the last shop. and he just have to make money before he starts on the header, so pretty much the intake, exhaust, and cams have to sell before we see the header

Yeah so I'm new here and I idc what any1 says about my 1zz auto gt..I lover with her hi mileage 175xxx. I've done a lot so far. Replaced stock cat and resonator. Replaced both o2. Front shocks and cut springs and downlinks. Rear shoes and cyclinders. Plugs coils injectors. Cam sensor. All fluids. Intake manifold gasket throttle body gasket iac gasket..and a new manifold with new tb iac. Valve cover gasket. Timing chain tensioner oring. I ran the car w/o cat..w/o muffler and stupid loud..I ran with cat res and no muffler and still loud...annoying loud..I recently ran into a shitload of problems with the lean code and misfire..I started throwing parts at her but then my gut kicked in before I decided on fuel pump regulator and cpu and whole harness..injectors replaced, seal replaced, pcv cleaned, pugs coils replaced..everything I replaced was due for tune up so I didn't feel to discouraged. Only thing this far that I threw at her was the camshaft sensor 50$ and a compression tester for 50$. I was worried cyclinder 1 n 2 were fried because of cheap obd scanner. After all research trial and error my gut said this shit feels like an 02 problem..got a better obd. Learned about fuel trims. To hell with giving up and taking it to a mechanic. I've had gopeds since I was 15yo and had the engine apart more times then I remember. These last few years watching YouTube of races and fixes and finally got my chance to stop daydreaming..I've had a 86 auto supra.87 targa turbo 5 spd. 88 5spd trans am. 93 sc300 auto. 98 camry 4 cyclinder..I never got involved with my car the way I used to daydream. I'm confident my knowledge and attitude and need to buy more tools only gonna increase with time...so my issues were my 02 sensors..the lean code the evap code then the misfire code along with poor mileage like 16 17 mpg...nope couldn't have that..if its gonna be slow gimme my 29 or 36 mpg..if its gonna be swallowing gas be quick and peppy..so I tested the throttle body, manifold, iac..sure no leak..plugs coils injectors seals..took the front upstream 02 and disconnected it and the car ran smooth as hell..I see a bunch of people say the downstream 02 doesn't do much but I beg to differ..they both have to do with emissions but I'd still run both of em after I delete my catalytic converter to 2 res pipes and a 4 inch muffler at the end for looks and some backpressure..I had cheap universal o2 maybe that was the problem...I'm still gonna change my fuel pump and regulator and strainer..175xxx..not gonna hurt her and give me peace of mind...I'm not gonna buy an exhaust tho. I just ported my header and me personally. I think I did an alright job for my 1st time..IMHO I lost some torque upfront. I also have a cheap ebay cold air intake that doesn't mount properly..pretty sure it's for the 2zz....I'm probably gonna get a ecu to counter the natural lean of our engine for fuel...after I fixed everything..my trims were in our celicas specs respectively..I might turbo her automatic or not..I miss 5 and 6 speeds but I'm not gonna swap another engine and tranny until I have to. I've got a little less cash now to burn but I work hard and I love my Toyota all day every day. Probaly can't beat anybody right now in a race.but I still look look better then 90% of 2020 cars..probaly better mpg and handling too...I've got pics of my header port job.im fairly new to celica hobby..I see I'm like a little late in here but o wells. I was doing the whole stalking and reading up on troubleshooting and upgrades and youtube and google..I wanted to let other celica owners know toyota is so worth it and easy to work on with a bunch handtools..dont be that parts replacer guy. Test test and test some more. Get to the root of the problem before you assume. If your reading this your already too late into spending time, but hopefully. Not money.
