I install the Intake last month and everything was ok, but today i realized that there is a cable from the Intake that is not connected, i don't know what it is and what is for.
I check the Intake because the check engine light came on, what i did was i took out the negative cable of the battery for 10 minuttes to see what happens. The light when off, thats ok.
But i am concern with that cable, it has to have a purpose and don't know where it goes.
Help please!
Here are some pictures, so you guys get a clear idea of what cable i am talking about.

there is no use for that part with the Intake. unplug that Gold thing from the Blue connector and keep the Gold thing for safe keeping, if you ever think of putting the old Air box back your going to need that. then just ziptie the blue connector somewhere hidden

No, it should be unconnected. Perhaps your gas cap was not tightened all the way?

This is the second time this happen to me, last week, the light came on, and the dealer said it was the gas cap. I turn the gas cap more than 3 times, i don't know what is the problem.

I have the injen short Intake and when i installed it the instructions said to have it connected to that wire and just zip tie it somewhere where its not in the way. If you disconnect that plug then you can get a CEL because that plug can pick up hot air. If you don't get this problem answered or fixed i will take of my installation of my Intake either tomorrow or the next day when i get my camera. If you want pics PM so i can send them to you.

yeah that goes to the IVAC, but the CAI is a CIAC so you dun need it no more. In the Intake instructions it says this part will not be required with the AEM Intake.
