Does anyone know a good way to fix a tear in a subwoofer? Its about half an inch long and its on the rubber part.

I'm pretty sure that puppy is done.
Was it a very expensive one? I suppose you COULD try superglue.

Nah it was just a 12 inch type-e. I was thinking sylicone or rubber cement, I think super glue cant bend the same way as the other two.

Silicone clue might do the trick. I'd try to get some both inside of the tear and on the surface covering it... then give it LOTS of time to dry, since it has to be air proof.

If you go to a specialty speker shop you cn buy whole rubber surrounds and they will glue them on.

Silicone will work well. We used to do that with our band when we'd rip a bass bin.

Fixing it is going to affect the sound of the woofer, not matter how small a tear is. I would either go buy a new cone and rubber surround from a speaker store or just scrap it and buy a new woofer.

the tear is only in the rubber surrounding it sounds like (yes?). which doesn't really affect the sound that much. Depending on the type of sub you can take appart the mounting bracket and replace the rubber around it.
