Well, when I bought my car it came with a Code Alarm. It's a generic alarm and it works fine but I just don't like how it's hooked up to the car horn. It's really annoying when I lock/unlock the doors. I was wondering if I could just hook up the alarm system I currently have to another siren instead of the car horn, and where I might be able to purchase it if they do have that. Or if it'll be easier to just get a brand new alarm. Thanks.

why in the hell would you want to change your alarm anyway? I actually think its better because if you think about it the regular siren alarms are pretty typical when they go off. And think about this, when your aftermarket alarm goes off it sounds just like everyone elses siren. But you see when your toyota alarm goes off you hear this anoyying beep beep noise and its more then likley to grab someones attention because you dont hear a horn alarm regualry. I dunno i got a aftermarket alarm thats hooked up to my horn and i love it! All it has is "Arm" and "Disarm" shit thats what its good for anyway! The alarm i got btw is a "Chapman" alarm and it works great! I tested it alreayd and its nice and LOUD and anoyying when it goes off

The factory alarm I've got doesn't chirp the horn when you set it. The lights just blink to let you know it got the lock signal. Its wired to the horn too. Supposedly, it would take longer for a thief to cut off a horn-wired alarm vs. one with its own noisemaker.
