This is going to sound stupid, but a friend and me were going to paint my callipers and we jacked up the car and went to take the wheels off and could not get teh lugs of the wheels. Im not very strong but my buddy is built like a gorrila and he couldnt even get the damn wheels off. Is there something woring with my lugs or are we just not seeing something that we have to do first.

Plese help

Are you turning to the left? If you really cant get them off try taking them to a local tire shop and have them use air tools on them.

lugs can be a pain in the ass. Are you perhaps using a regular lug wrench on lugs that require a lock adaptor? Or perhaps using a lock adaptor when one is not required?

what i do to get mine off is put the tire iron on the lug parallel to the ground and then stand on the tire iron. My weight (130 lbs) is enough to do it easily.

i'd loosen the lugs a lil bit before i jack up the car.. then juss twist em off later because if you try to take the nuts off after you lift the jack, ur tire can start turning and it can get be a pain in the arse

That's what I always do... laughsilly if you have a X wrench, try stepping on it... carefully! rolleyes to the LEFT

BTW If you're planning to ask for some help @ tireshop... you must have a friend there, otherwise they'll refuse to do it... It's hazardous... rolleyes they say (by law?) ohboy

yeah, like CornDawg said, if you put a pipe or tube on one of the handle parts (one of the ones perpendicular to your car) it'll add some leverage and really help you out.

These mini crow bars that come with the celi are hard to get any torque out of.

Yah, me too. But its kinda dangerous.

No one ever does, but you should also re-torque your lug nuts after 20 miles. I always do it. When you have new tires put on, usually the bill of sale says it.
