I installed Russ' gauges yesterday http://www.rjautoworks.com they look really nice. I still have to calibrate my needles because my speedometer seems to be off by 5~10 mph. I wanted to paint the back of the needle red but I didn't have time yesterday so I'll do that later today. I also noticed that my blinker light doesn't shine green anymore I remember seeing a group-buy somewhere for different colored blinker lights. Does anyone have the link for that? Thanks.

nice.. if you want your needles red, you're gonna have to get a needle kit to place behind them cause the red you put on the actual needle...with the blue LEDs behind it won't light red http://www.importintelligence.com/FMPro?-db=Cart.fp3&-format=listnew.htm&-newyou should just paint the back of them blue with blue transparent paint

^^^wat he said.. ...good job..did you solder the leds in urself?? Thanks, yep I soldered the LED's myself. I had no previous soldering experience except for soldering wires together when I installed my headunit. The first few LED's were a little hard but after I got the hang of it, the rest of them were pretty easy.

Thanks, I just used a red sharpie today and like you said the light doesn't shine red. As a matter of fact the light doesn't shine through much at all.

The red needle looks good during the day, but doesn't light up that well at night.

love that look . is it hard to solder the led in? Thanks hehe, it wasn't that hard to solder the LED's in, once you get the hang of it it's really not that hard. I followed this guide in the install section. https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1870109493_0_collapsed_2__1.htmlI re-painted my needles today with transparent red paint and the light shines through pretty well now. The tach looks sweet, but the speedometer is still sorta dark. But overall it looks a lot better than when I used the red sharpie.

hey man, where do you find "transparent paint"? Also, do you need red LED's for behind the "redline" on teh tach or do you just leave those stock?
Thanks

how much did you spend all together, including shipping, for this mod bro?? Hey, I spent a total of $98.16 for the gauges including blue LED's, and tax / shipping. I paid like 8.50 for the soldering iron and 3.99 for the silver solder. So in total I spent around $110 including tax and everything for this mod.

Thanks I found transparent red paint at my local hobby shop it's like 2.99 for the bottle. Regarding the red LED behind the "redline" Russ (RJautoworks) includes a few red LED's when you purchase blue or white LED's with the order.
