well i was removing the light bulb holder above the plate to put in a hyper white bulb, and i kept trying to pull it down, didnt work so i pushed it up, and it poped right out and fell into the metal sheeting, now im screwed, i can hear it rolling around, and i have located it with a coat hanger, now i just need to find someway to get it out... heres a picture of the location, i wonder if anyone else has had this happen... if nothing else i will get some sheet metal cutters and cut out an opening and scoop it out, but thats my last resort

i have a few screws in the same location. i've managed to get a few out using a magnet.
hmm, try using two hangers to pry it out. its worth a shot.
SHEET METAL CUTTING SHOULD BE A LAST RESORT!!!
I've mastered the art of the After Image Technique.

The problem is fitting your hand down in there. If you look at the picture, that's an almost impossible spot.

ohhhhhh, someone else has had the same thing happen that i did. well since we're repainting my whole car we took the rear hatch off and turned it upside down, that's probably about the easiest way to get it out.

I have the same problem, I'm just gonna spray polystyrene foam in it, so it doesn't ratlle. I tried using a vacuum cleaner with a small hose wo it, but no luck. I just hope I can stop the ratlling

ive got a long, braided flexible tube thingy with a little claw on the end that you control from the top. it works wonders, saved my ass so many times, they sell them at Sears in the specialty automotive tools, that will definitly work.
