I went over to the dealership and gave it a test drive to see how it compared to my car. (Same engine and all). It sure is a lot better-looking than the Celica, that's for sure, and gets a lot of looks. It was very low to the ground and had very hard suspension. It sounds so much better than the Celica they way it's tuned and with the pipes on, but I could hear the Celica engine behind it all, and got the same wonderful boost feeling when I hit lift. It was a heck of a lot more torquy and had more "get up and go" than the Celica. Needless to say, my Celica felt very underpowered when I got back in it. One cool thing is that the shifter is on the Celica seems tighter to me. Awesome car. I want one
the engine still pushes 180hp, but the elise version uses a different CPU and is setup differently than the GTS version.
Thats how they get +10hp, a swap would be pointless. Not to mention the car weights just about half the weight of our cars, and that is pretty damn light.
I loked up getting one with all the goodies and got to 48000. Not too shabby when you consider 0-60 in under 5. I chose the more expensive krypton green paint.

Did you get to peel around any corners with it? I bet the reduced weight would leave you stuck to the glass all the way around!
i dont know wat you was thinkin wen you said it looks better then a Celica, but if thats ur opinion so be it, i think they are very nice cars, fun to drive, and a lil more powerful then our cars, but i will stay with a celi.

the reason you feel more power from the elise is because they weigh 1950 lbs...other than the +10 from the ecu...otherwise...theres no difference in engines
