I've been looking ALL over from orchard supply, home depot, paint shops, ace hardware, for rust-oleum crystal clear enamel clear coat paint. The closest I got to finding one was as home depot but they were sold out ![angry angry](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/angry.gif) I even curbed my back right rim because of a stupid low ass curb. I guess I was pissed off and didn't see it when I entered a parking lot ![angry angry](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/angry.gif) I bought Rust-Oleum Silver metallic paint to paint my dash but I need a clear coat... Does anyone know of any other paint I can use as a clear coat? I'm painting my center console and gauge trim tomorrow. Thanks.

did you try any autoparts store like AutoZone or Pepboys? they carry a brand called Dupli-Color. they have a lot to choose from especially the Clear Coat you are looking for. good luck ![wave wave](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/wave.gif)

I couldn't find any either. At least not any of somewhat decent quality.

um, stop going to home furnishing stores. Is your car your home? Go to auto parts stores like autozone, pepboys, even wal-mart sells paint for cars. Duplicolor is prolly the best.

00celica00gt has a good point. why go to a home furnishing store for things you want done to your car. you could get everything that you need at an auto store. ![spineyes spineyes](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/spineyes.gif)

I went to autozone and pepboys yesterday and I couldn't find a dupicolor clear coat. They only had duplicolor clear coat for wheels and the engine ![frown frown](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/frown.gif) So I went to pepboys and the best thing I found was "plasti-kote" Import color clear coat acrylic laquer paint. I was wondering if this would work on the coat of paint I just put on my console. I used rust-oleum silver metalic paint, and I think it's enamyl. Can I use acrylic clear coat laquer over dried enamyl paint? ![confused confused](https://celicahobby.com/forums/images/graemlins/celica/confused.gif)

that should be no problem. thats what i used. remember to wet sand after each clear coat. let dry. then apply another coat. repeat this prrocess at least 5 or 6 times for best finish
