I havein mind what type of rim i want to get, but should i get 17" or 18". Whats your guys opinion on what looks better. An is 18" too much for the celica becasue of damage to the wheels.

no you can prolly fit on a 20" with some really low pro tires.

but a 19 you can fit on no prob with just normal low pro tires.

19's with a lip look real nice.

but anything below 18's with a lip look really weird on the celica. thumbsup

19's are out of the question, im lowering too so that would leave no room for a tire. I need 17's or 18's

Kit and lower with low pro 18's will look good, but if you want a smooth sporty ride get 17's with a little higher pro tires.

personally i like 18s..and many Performance aftermakret 18" rims are still just as light as the stock wheels.

17s will be even lighter though (as a rule of thumb) so if you want to be a little faster i'd go with them.

remember that if your wheel is 'inset' (like a 3-piece rim) your wheel will appear about an inch smaller because people only associate size with the 'star' (or whatever pattern you may choose). for instance, a 3-piece racing hart cr in 18" looks more like a 17" because the 6-point star is inset into the wheel.

whereas, if the star is on the outside of the wheel, it will look the size of which it is (17 will look like 17, 18 will look like 18).

so...if you get a multipiece rim or a forged wheel that is 'insett..i would get 18s. (most 'inset' wheels only come in 18" or higher, anyway)

I have 17's, and still managed to bend a rim on a nasty hole. I'd still get them over 18's though.

17's if you're not planning on getting a kit, 18's if you are.

If you're dropping it, 18's. Otherwise, 17's.

I've got 19's, and the car is lowered about 60mm up front and 70mm back - and there are no problems what so ever. no scrubbing at all. 8,5x19 with 30 offset, and 235/35 tyres. works great! 30 profile tyres would be even better.

17's are a waste of money, as they doesn't do much for the car. will still make your car look like you're running on small factory rims.

There arn't that many celica's over here, so I've only met & chatted with one other guy who've modified his celica. He had 18's. He took 1 quick look at my car and said "damn, I should have gone with 19's!!"

And he's right. 19's fit the celica perfect smile
