I need some help my car been laggin in first gear it doesnt do it all time just whenever it wants to, and I've lost power in the high end What could it be and what should I do  thanks

it's a 5speed GT I just had the clutch changed to a ACT stage 2 and it wasnt the clutch it has to be something else

Maybe high mileage and lack of service to the engine? Maybe you raced that car too many times? I'm only guessing. When was the last full tuneup? By your part or Toyota? How was the condition of the flywheel at the clutch install? Did anyone even check the flywheel? Have a compression check done. Ever installed a CAI? Ever cleaned the MAF and/or throttle body? Thrown a CEL before for similar circumstances? Reset the ECU? This is all guestimation.

This car only has 45,000 miles on it yes it's been raced a couple of times the last tune up was @ 40,000 by me. The flywheel had some hot spots and needed to be resurfaced the disc was burnt. Compression had not been done or never installed a CAI. I did clean the MAF and throttle body. Thrown a CEL before for similar circumstances? The ECU has been reseted. I don't know what esle to do maybe take it to toyota and have them inspect it, When your in 1st gear the car feels like your in 3rd gear and feels like it bogging out, and it's lost it's high end power...but it only does it once in awhile...

5000miles from last tune up?! did you change the oil? take it back to toyota, it needs another tune up like after 2000miles. i change my oil every 2500km - 3000km. hope you solve ur problem

No no 5000 since my last major tune up it's only been 2000 miles since my last oil change I run synthetic on my car

EGR Valve? It could be sensor starting to go. The problem may present it self by the next oil change.

spark plugs, or clogged injectors???? have toyota do a check on it

UPDATE it turned out to be a dirty map censor and plugged PCV valve now it runs like a champ
