Well seems like my V5 tail light kit is giving up the ghost, after a little over a year there peeling up and faded as all hell.
Its all good since I'm looking at getting the black TYCs but I've never seen 5 year vinyl wear out so fast. Don't think the silver can take the elements (add yes I wash and wax as offen as possible) because my ac vent kit still looks like it did the day I put it on. Oh well.
Here is a pic of the kit for those that don't know, not my car but the same color:
post a pic of your car... BTW - do you park inside or out? does it rain/snow where you live - do they salt the roads... how often is your car parked in the direct sunlight each day. right after you wash your car, do you dry the glass, rubber and plastics first and then move to dry the waxed body - or do you just dry any place you feel like drying first?
Hmmm, that's the first I've heard of it going that fast. I get emails from time to time from people that have had their Overlays on for 2 -3 years now with no signs of peeling or fading. I can say the same about my Celica, never had to change them. At any rate, I can do another set for you at discount if you'd like. They're cheap to begin with anyhow .
Oh, and what Isaac said . BTW, Sir Isaac, did you get my pms?

Yes, to all. I know what your getting at Isaac and I take great care of my car. I have a lot of experience with vinyl and I agree with bat that it is odd for outdoor vinyl to crap out this early. I know its the sun that did it, parked in direct sun Monday - Friday, no shade in my work parking lot.
This is not a dig to Bats products, want that to be very clear.
if you wax ur car so much, aint that going to fuck up the top clear coat? thats wat i heard, i though you only should wax ur car 1 a month, or its going to fade ur paint.

Its all good, there where coming off one way or the other for the TYCs. Thanks for the offer, nice of you to do. I know its the elements that did because your ac kit and the parts I did with the roll of silver you sold me still look brand new but thats all in the car.

Dont have a single problem with any of my overlays from Bat(and I probably have the most lol) and i park in the sun almost everday, and if your in Southern California you definitely know how brutal the damn sun can be down here. Yet, i have no problems with the overlays, only problems I ever had, if you can consider it one, was just applying it wrong the 1st few times i ever tried it.
