ok my front bumper looks like crap i have only had the car for a year now and the paint is almost gone...is this normal...had some hot latin chick laugh at my car today...she didn't see me though ,i was in my apartment and felt like crap...guess i will have to go get a paint job...no more laughing at my ride ...2001 gt carbon blue.

Dang how bad is it? Do you live near the ocean cause that salt water can kill your car and you have a really dark one so the sun prolly kills it too. i guess it doesnt see much garage time.

if its the latin girl whose disturbing u, then tell her to fuck off. if ur bumper is really messed up, then paint it. post some pix, i wanna see how fucked up it is, 1 year is too early. i wonder wut that latin girl drives to laugh at you like that, maybe a riced out civic, or a 1960s mistubishi eclipse.
but yea, celica looks sexy, and a defect on it makes it look pretty bad.

3M makes a 'clear bra' that will all but eliminate further rock damage.
I would suggest getting it repainted, then have the 'bra' installed at your body shop. The stuff is apparently like invisible saran wrap...

When I got my 00 GT back in Oct. I had paint chips everywhere on the hood and front bumper. Got it repainted and now there starting to return  . Luckly im never on the highway so i shouldnt get too many.

yup i have the same problem with my carbon blue bumper but i havn't had anyone laugh at it..well i don't think

jus came off 2 trips to louisiana i have same problem small chips in paint cant see it though unless real close check pics this is jus couple inches its actually all over the bumper even soft luv bugs at 80 mph can seem like rock to paint
they say smile and the whole world smiles with you;how come when i smile the whole world thinks im up to somthing<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/whatever.gif" alt="" />

Welcome to the world of rock chips.. Dude, I had my car repainted about 4 times now, I just gave up on getting it painted anymore on the front bumper, thats the only thing that chips now. U know what I do, TAKE A DAMN SPRAY PAINT CAN TO IT. Dosen't look as good now but the paint lasts a lot longer now.

need to get the hook ups on a clear bra. kinda expensive but well worth it.
