Ok, well, I have a gts and im really considering on getting the XS Turbo kit. I was wondering if anyone has any idea of how the tranny reacts to the kit? Should I be expecting problems with my stock tranny?? Thanks guys!

Well first off dont get the XS kit. Get the SF or the JPR kits. And they come programed for a stock motor so it is good.

From what I've heard there had been nothing but problems from that kit everyone loves the sf kit though.

XS = dog crap. better worry about problems other then your tranny with them for more info on c2gas you'll want to check out the "other" celica site that we cant mention here. SF takes a lil while to ship because he's got a small shop and the kits are not mass produced. I have liked what I've seen from the SF kits

Here is the C2Gas Site - www.c2power.com [ c2power.com] These guys know what there doing! I'd trust them overa anyone! As far as the JRP is isn't finished yet and I don't know if you wanna buy a BRAND NEW product.. You might want to wait abit and get some of the feedback on them.. You never know what problems the kit may have.. Thats a lot of HP for a stock celica... Interenals and tranny might not be able to hold! I fact I know that they won't!

my problem with c2gas 's kit is that it just doesnt look like it will hold up under a lot of abuse. the flanges look very thin and weak. Not a good idea for people who plan on beating up the car at the track. The SF kits I know for a fact can take the abuse because we've put it through hell lol.

But the thing with SF and Yea there parts have been through hell.. Have you seen some of the pictures on the "other" site about how they come after shipping.. I just don't know if they are the most reliable.

the only thing I knew of that had a few issues was the fuel rail. was missing something from the kit.

xs kits have few problems, its just the stock gts tranny is weak as shit, any Turbo kit thats put to it blows it up unless you upgrade everything for the power being produced

hmm my teamate had the XS kit first and that thing was poop switched to the SF kit and it worked ALOT better. his stock tranny is in better condition then mine he's had 240+ whp for a looooong time. last dyno was 277 and 204 tq the tranny isnt all that bad now when you abuse it like I do after having it rebuilt by the dealer you will have issues.

^^ not if you run a low psi.. You can run like 5psi on stock internals and not risk blowing your engine but your tranny won't hold for very long... It might but it is risky. Celica tranny's suck at holding power from what i've read I wouldn't test that either... I'd rather just be safe and upgrade everyone does the GT first cause its easier lol What about JRP? Gt Turbo is easier though.. Less things to work about. Its just a plain up motor.. Hell they could copy the Jetta 1.8t if they wanted..

It might but it is risky. hes had his car Turboed for over a year now. same tranny and plenty of track days. plus a daily driver most of the time. tranny is fine. JRP is still prototype and isnt out yet as far as I know. (could be wrong) I dont check up on them often.

where you from in CA? I dont have a Turbo but 3 of my teamates have switched to SF and I have seen only good things from it 1 of them in particular had the XS kit and switched over. theres a big demand on the SF kits right now so it's taking a lil while for people to get their kits. definitely worth the wait IMO. once you start adding the alchohol injection and stuff that kit can put down some serious power.

Yes i am in CA...but anyhow...i was reading up on this C2GAS kit...and sounds pretty legit...Stage 2 would be interesting to see...as for the STAFFORD kit...HAA HAA HAA HAA what a joke..who would want to deal with them if people who ordered there kits in March and still havent received there kit...Very Very Bad customer service.. There kits may be cool but good luck of getting through to them...thats too bad..they could of made a lot more money than what there making now.

About C2power kits. Imagine we live in Europe, and these kits being tested in europe, we have 80mph speed limit here, and no speed limit at all in Germany, these cars been tested running excess 150MPH for long runs, i guess that is a lot more then what you can push out of your car in the US. We also have a GTS prototype now, and we will start selling GTS kits very soon, actually i can allready take pre orders for GTS, or ship GT kits in 2 weeks. look at some picture we got and ask questions if you need answers.
