well, the dealership said today that they are ordering my tranny and will be done by friday...so, do you guys think that it will really be new or it is jus a rebuilt one. wasn't there someone here in the forum that works for toyota? well, i talked to this guy at ma work and he has a cadilac and his engine blew. the dealership put a "new" one in and said that it was new until he found out that it was rebuilt from the mechanic. after some legal matters were brought up he got his new engine. this jus shows how the dealership will try to cut corners. ya think that some toyota does this. imma ask them for the invoice of the new engine and that way hopefully it'll show that it is a new engine straight from toyota.
I work at TMMI building vehicles if ur talking about me.. but i dont know anything about rebuilt tranny's... i thought there was someone on here that there dad own a toyota dealership
I work for a Toyota dealer in Montreal. If your car is really new, they will replace it for a new one. But if your car is older, they will fix it. Just ask them and they will tell you. Plus it's never the dealer that descide these things, it's Toyota USA that is paying and they are taking the decision. If the dealer do what he want's and not what Toyota USA decide, they (Toyota USA) won't pay! As simple as that!!

thanks a lot you guys.. i can't wait till i get my car.. been missin it for almost a wk now. o, and since im fixing this under warranty, i don't think that they would gimme back my old parts, would they?
just got my car today. they put a 03 tranny in it. shifting is a lil weird because he said it got wider shift gates. when i put it up from 2nd to 3rd it gets stuck in betweeen 1st and 3rd. i got used to it now, but racing it, i don't think its easy to shift when racing.
