I use meguiers soft wash but what can I use to get rid of the water spots. I'm assuming I have to dry it by hand. What kind of towel is absorbent enough to do the job?

Dry by hand & try the Absorber works well.

yep I also use turtle wax express shine spray on wax... I t works really good and when you do a little area at a tiem and dry it the spots go away.. it only takes me about 10 minutes to spray wax the entire car too

No offense, but why not take the extra time to dry off your car by hand like previously stated? It only takes a couple of minutes and you can see any new imperfections or marks on your paint. Then use a simple spray wax if you don't have the time like also previously stated. Is 20 mins. tops from dry to end wax too much to ask?

The absorber, that is what i use, and it works wonders. I also have a black car.

yep, chamios dry your car by hand... then if you want no miniscule water marks, a spray on wax 'quick detailer' works great to maintain your liquid wax, and give it back that extra shine

Chamois kick ass. Except they get a lot of dirt in them. I wrang one out today and my hands are all black.

U need to go to a car wash and just use the spot free rinse

Umm you get water spots because you don't dry your car fast enough, and plus you might be using hard water w/ calcium in it. I have a water system so I don't have that problem

it doesn't work that well. nothing is better than hand dry w/a towel...

are the water spots from the wash you just did? or are they in the paint?

if from the wash, make sure it's cool and in the shade and that you use a good drying agent..


if it's in the paint (i have some when i got my car) then you need to clay/polish them out

Don't use the chamois unless you have hand scrubbed your car, because it will just fill it full of dirt.

well just wash your car in the shade, always early in the morning or in the evening when there is no direct sun, and no heat, this way you have a much longer time to dry your car before the spots appear.

what i do is dry the car first...then open all the doors, gas trunk and hood wipe them down then slam it so the water comes out..also like blow on the cracks like the lining of the windows to blow the water out... The only thing i really hate is the water spots from the side view mirrors!!!
