It's either a problem with your MAF sensor, cold air Intake (if you have one), or maybe your throttle body/cable.

Also, try and put your butterfly valve back in and reboot the ECU.

Do you have an auto or manual?

If you're trying to floor it right after you start up the car, it's going to do that every time. The car protects itself from damage you could do to it by over revving the car too early. If it doesn't do this after you drive it for a while, it's normal, don't worry.

Also, if it's an auto then maybe it is normal.

Try cleaning the MAF like said and reset the ECU. Try that first. I had a similar problem and I cleaned that sucker and reset the ECU. No more problems other than my stock clutch and flywheel and having to rev it like I have a 2lbs. flywheel at every other stop. If you don't have an Intake I don't know what to say other than tuneup or transmission worries.

i agree with all of them, theres nothing worse then revving or pushing the car right after starting then again it could be MAF too good luck wink

Uh, well then you might be bogging the car down when you just floor it right away. Try giving it less throttle, and more clutch, and then easing back on the clutch as you increase the throttle.
