Yeah it opens id say about 1/2 way it used to. ill try to take a pic of my drivers side door open because i have the hinge on but dont have the shock that pushes it up on yet.

That might just have changed my mind. same here. you can open your door enough where you can go in and out. reason for doing this only if you get tired of opening and closing your doors up and down.
