^^ OK here it is, Subject was a TSB two years ago and should'a been a recall but now Your S.O.L.
I had mine replaced in 2002 and the replacement is starting to get flaky. So this time around I'm gonna have it painted the same color as the car and call it done.

You can only sedate the problem in a way. Use polishing compound on it and scrub REAL HARD.  Like i said it will only make the cracking and fading look a little more tolerable.
