i drove around on empty all day, then it sputtered out while i was sitting in line for gas at cosco... i only put in 10 bucks though, LOL

Hopefully, I won't ever find out. I never let mine get below a quater of a tank because it is bad for the fuel pump.

Yeah, that can't be too good for your car.

Driving with low extremely low fuel level or running out of fuel could cause the engine to misfire, creating an excessive load on the three way catalytic converter.

i had my tank w/ no bars and got close to 5 miles out of it.

^^ ha ha, i never run it that low, but i was stupid and forgot to fill up, but luckly gas was lower priced after school then before, so it saved me a couple cents

i fear the gas light...

how far can you go on that last cube tho?

ive gone almost 30 miles with no bars before, you can get farther than you think...but i still wouldnt recommend it.

The gas light dreads me, especially driving long distances.

ive seen it a couple times when the gas prices were above 2 bucks..never done it again...that light is almost as evil as the CEL light

drove from minneapolis to des moines from empty, put 10 bucks in, made it all the way home. That was like 5 hours i was impressed.

i sometimes run my gas bars all the way till there are none left...then i get gas...tahts what you get for being a poor kid

i already have a story lined up incase i get pulled over, it goes like this after hearing why i dont have a front plate i tell the officer " i was in an accident and my front bumper was mangled, and i lost my front plate, i asked the police on the scene about it and they said that there shouldnt be much of a problem without one" so then ill tell the cop that i never investiaged getting a new one because i wasnt sure how long i would hold onto a broken car

I've taken it 10 miles on 1 bar with fuel light on. You can go another 30 miles on 1 bar, but that depends on milage and mods, so don't risk it. I like to take it down low before I get gas again. To me, its like draining your batteries completely before recharging.

haha i told a police officer that once.. i was in an accident i just bought this new bumper and havent gotten the new plate to get it drilled in at a shop.. it works so good

the lowest i've heard was...a gts goin 30 miles w/o any bars. i drove around once w/ no bars but didn't count the miles.

1 time i test drove a 2004 auto gts with no gas bars at a dealer and I was punching it and hitting lift everywhere. And still made it back to the dealer

B4 I moved to Chiocago my car never went lower than the 1/4th line. Now, I basically stay empty on gas.. Its sooo damn xpensive here. In Oklahoma I would put in $15 and be damn near close a full tank, and here $15 only gets me to the 1/4th line...

yeah my dad got in my car one day, and saw the gas on like 3-4 bars left, he flipped shit about how the fuel pump costs a shit load of money, and how he hates putting them in, because the truck drivers at his work drive on empty, and he is a mechanic so he has to put the gas pumps in, so i would recommend driving that low, lol
