Well, I got my car back today with new synchro's and a new clutch. (Pre-Post about what was wrong) https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f_1870245472_0_collapsed_5__1.html The clutch feels really soft, and the gearbox feels like butter now. I also got some new tires installed, the Yokohama AVS ES100's, so now I have a full set. What was cool is that warranty covered a $4000 job and I paid $383 for a new clutch. I bought my car used so I never got to test out a brand new clutch. It feels pretty sweet. But yeah I'm pretty happy about how it turned out.

u said you had problems particulary with shifting to the second gear... thats what i have!
i know theres been lots of posts about it before, but what kind of problem did you exactly have? maybe i have the same one and it can still be covered? can you explain it plzzzz... thanks a lot

Can you describe the noises the tranny makes when the synchro's are going bad?
Everything seems to work ok with mine, but lately the gear box seems really loud and what I can only describe as mechanical sounding. Like I can really hear all the gears meshing and groaning.

I have a video that Clos sent to me and it sounds exactly like that. I would post it here but I don't know how

i got mine done under waranty 2, toyota is loosing a lot of money now days, 2 bad i didnt buy a new clutch, now i have to deal with 400 dollars of labor charge

Good to hear had a friend who did the same thing. Shifter just dropped. Covered under warranty. Drive careful now.
