ok my CEL keeps coming on i reset the ECU and still comes back again but after a week. i was thinking it mite be the AEM CAI would a dirty filter make the light go on? cus its almost black. and what can i used to clean it ? need quick help thanks


Ps: i don't wanna take it to the dealer to have it checked cus a lot of dealers are assholes and will give me a bunch of B.S

well gray grin its realy realy dirty i have not clean it since i got it cus i don't know what to use to clean it. do i just wash it with soap and water i don't know .

i have always used that k&n filter cleaning stuff.

does any body know what else could be that its making the CEL go on? i cheked the gas cap and its on tight

well i had a CEL last night and after i capped off a tube with duct tape i'm good to go. make sure all your connections are correct and tight. maybe it's not intake related...try seeing what code it is. thumbsup

get the code read at autozone or pep boys...and clean your filter.

It should be like $20 to get the code read. I had mine read & they didn't charge me anything.

you may want to try cleaing your mass air flow sensor in the intake - the same problem happened to me, Toyota charged me $90 to clean it for me, ive heard its not easy and you can damage the sensor easily.. you may want to just take it in..

i had a cel and same symptoms got the code free at nappa auto parts and took it ot dealership and it was my o2 sensor
