Hey guys, I guess I'll just jump right into my little problem. Along time ago when I first bought my car, I wanted to get a few gauges, air/fuel..water...ect. Well I was young and stupid back then and decided to place 3 gauges going across the passanger's dash. Now ironicly it looks pretty good over there and from the angle where I sit, I can read them perfectly. Anyway I was stupid and drilled a 2' hole for a duhh 2' gauge. As shown below...

Not only was this really stupid but I bought the gauge a long time ago and didn't buy the matching 3. So now I either have to go buy a matching set of gauges or drill out a square to put a screen in? basicly I'm not sure what to do with it, and would love some suggestoins...

And just for shits heres a picture of the gauge...

hmmmm... try this. we did this on my buddies eclipse spyder, take a three gauge a pillar pod, and see if you cant do a little glassing to mold it in. there's a lot of work involved, but the angle was perfect for the driver, and it looked pretty sweet. if you don't want to glass the whole dash (big time glare i've been told) try making the piece, and wraping it in the same material as your seats.

This is a toughy. I'd try my best to figure out a way to angle them to face you. It may be worth the investment to get better gauges. Before you drill more holes though, check and see if there is anything important behind where you are drilling (wires, impact beams, airbag, other plastics, etc.) You need to check for mounting and depth heights, too.

Just some thoughts. Good luck.

Ya, thanks for the input I've checked the depth and such, and everything will fit, and by everything, other gauges if I added them. About the angle of the gauges, I was saying that I CAN read them quite clearly, the bevel in the dash points the gauge up alittle bit. In which case, I can read it from my seat smile So angleing them isn't really a problem. That fiber glass thing is an option, Didn't think about that. However If i were to put in a screen I think working with that bevel might be alittle hard as well. I was acutally thinking, If i were to put in a screen I'd go all out an toss a mini computer in the back. Essentially I Would have it setup where the passanger along with the drive could select music to listen to and or DVD's. Hell if I'd really go out I should toss a wireless card in there too, hehe when I pull up to my apartment have it download all the latest music i've already downloaded tongue

Hmm findin a wide screen might be hard, what ya think like 10x5? Lol do they make thoses? Hmmm might be able to destory and old laptop too. Anyway Im rambleing... takign more suggestions as well wink

I'd put a time machine in the back of my car so that when I hit 88 mph, I find myself back in 1985. I would tell Toyota to make some bad ass cars because they suck in 2005.

But all seriousness, good luck with whatever you chose. You want to ask a pro install shop. You could make this look a lot worse or bad ass.
