Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Painting Dome Light

Neat little mod here.
I had left over paint from red out tails, it was the testors candy apple red. Anywho, I tried out painting over the clear dome light cover with it, and am very pleased with the results, it gives a nice red glow in the cabin. Never seen this before.

i'm curious to see the fixture itself though..i think i can safely say i've never seen a dome light fixture painted.

i have seen 'hyper' red bulbs placed in the fixture though with the same effect...prob a little brighter though

yes, the fixture itself, is well..red. so that means its red during the day, all the time. I dont really look at it much so it doesnt bother me, but its a shade darker than the red of a tail light. mabye i can get a pic up.

too bad they dont have blue transparent testors paint
