SPLASH  I was going about 55 and I felt my car slow down soo much!!! I thought the bmw behind me was going to rear end me since i slowed down soo much without pressing the brake..and water flying up over my windows  I was like ahh great hydrolock  but nope I slowly let on the Gas it seemed to be okay and off I went.. no worries

puddle was deep.. thats why  it happen to me last year too in the same spot,  but then i had the stock air box and never heard of hydrolock and thought... ooo cool

Actually if you go through fast enough, the car "gets out of the way" before the water has time to splash up into the engine compartment. And no, the lesson to be learned here is NOT to go faster when approaching a puddle!

I'm going to do what I have always done when it rained, since getting the injen intake... I think i might take the Celica out and go out sliding around in the water (and pickup a bag of doritos chips while I'm at it) I love my injen

my k&n CAI came with a water repelling sock. i've been driving in the rain since Sat. night. so far so good.

u probably got scared and let off the gas a lil... thats wut i do when i hit a puddle. otherwise you kinda hydrolocked

Puddles suck...lots of rain & puddles is one of the reasons why my plastics are all bent to hell.

ya or even if it isnt raining, its fun to go sliding around, put lunch trays under your back wheels, and have some fun... just gotta rob a couple lunch trays from a fast food place
