I know there's a post on what exhaust is good. But I just wanna know which one is better between TRD and HKS? I'm not after the looks..well..just a little to be honest but gain is what matters most. I'm leaning towards TRD but somehone after few hours of looking the HKS, I kinda like the looks.
Anyway, your comments with the exhaust's gain, and sound would really help me in this dilema..

personally, I'd go with TPR, better gains than TRD.

TPR looks and performance, but between trd and hks, trd Yup, TPR has the best performance of any axle back exhaust (even more impressive when paired with an intake), and TRD is in 2nd. They sound similar, too. Funny thing is, the TRD exhaust is made by HKS, but the HKS exhaust isn't as powerful as TRD.

is there review on TPR??? post link plz No true customer reviews yet, since reports say the first batch just shipped today, but a stock vs TPR dyno was done by Easy_C at a local dyno shop, and an independant dyno was done down in CA by a NewCelica.org member that knows the shop and had a TRD exhaust on hand for the comparison. Here are the results: Stock vs TPR:Gains are 2-4hp more at peak than TRD, and much more at lift engagement and below. Where the TPR exhaust really shines, though, is when you add an intake to it. The free flowing potential of the exhaust shows through big time: TPR vs TRD:TPR CAI + TPR Exhaust = Blue TPR CAI + TRD Exhaust = Red As you can see, there's no competition at all. And TRD was the previous best exhaust out there.

yeah it is Borla, not HKS...the Borla has the same exhaust, just a round tip instead of an angled tip Borla used to make TRD exhausts, but that ended before the current Celica was made. You can even see the crappy spot welded muffler is the same on the HKS exhaust (the one that blows open on TRD because of rust ). Besides, someone had to get a replacement gasket for their TRD exhaust, and the dealership even said they had to call up HKS to order it. No reason a dealership would have to call any aftermarket company for anything unless they supplied parts to Toyota. BTW, the Borla exhaust looks nothing like TRD, and it's gains are kinda weak in comparison.
