TRD, and it is also the quietest. I have Greddy and I am extremely happy with it.

what is the tpr exhaust got any links to it The TPR exhaust is the top performing axle back for the Celica. Here's a TRD (red) vs TPR (blue) dyno (both have a CAI):

Yup, everyone who has heard TPR and TRD said they sound about the same. Good news for me, since I love TRD's sound.

The only sound clips of TRD I've heard don't really sound like TRD. TRD and TPR are unique in their sound. The exhaust almost growls, instead of sounding like a fartcan or a can of bees. TPR's clips are a bit closer to real life, but needed to be reduced in the lower frequency range. At full frequency, it caused the recording device to clip/distort (as you'll see). TPR Full Throttle Driveby:http://easyc.home.comcast.net/TPRex_driveby160.mp3TPR Revving (bass turned down for clean sound, taken from about 10" away from the tip): http://easyc.home.comcast.net/TPRex_rev160.mp3TPR Revving (full bass; first rev is clean, 2nd is distorted; taken from about 10" away from the tip): http://easyc.home.comcast.net/TPRex_rev160b.mp3

I have the greddy, too quiet, just like stock. I'm not a big fan of loud exhausts by any means, but it would be nice to be able to hear it. Other people that I have driven by, say that it sounds bad-ass once High cam hits, but I still hear the intake over the exhaust. I think the greddy has a lower peak horsepower increase than the trd, but more low-end power.

speaking of which, you got any estimate on how long that thing'll take? i'm dying to buy some performance mods for my car, and i wanna buy the TPR intake and exhaust, but the wait is killing me. if things don't pick up, i'm very tempted to buy the AEM and TRD.

I believe the first batch of TPR exhausts have already shipped, and the first batch of CAIs (about 50) is being assembled as I type.

here is my list: TPR (better gains than any Axle-Back exhaust) TRD (Was number one but was replaced by TPR) Apexi-N1 (light weight, great deep tone, not too loud, good gains) Tanabe Super Racing Medallion (great deep tone, louder than Apexi, good gains, IMO looks weird. )
I've mastered the art of the After Image Technique.

The Gen 2 CAIs are still delayed, but the Gen 1.5s are available now, and the only difference between the two is the construction. The MAFS housing on Gen 2 is cast, while on the Gen 1.5 it is welded together. Both have the same performance, features, and reliability. Apexi-N1 (light weight, great deep tone, not too loud, good gains) Hehe, TPR is one of the lightest exhausts out there. About 18lbs. 9lbs lighter than stock, 5lbs lighter than Apexi, and 7lbs lighter than TRD. how much are TPR exhaust compared to TRD? for a 2003 GT... $450 + S/H. $50-100 less than TRD, depending on where you get it from.

^^you gotta e-mail/pm Easy_C to get the TPR stuff. Yup, EasyC is the owner and only seller of TPR products. bomber: maybe i'm thinking of the headers as being December? Not sure. Depends on how long it takes to get out the Gen 2 CAIs. How much hp do these exhausts usually give out? TPR is about 10-11hp, TRD is about 6-8. i heard the clips...is it me, or does the sound of the TPR exhaust have a higher tone, than the TRD... Like I said, sound clips aren't very accurate. There have been about 4 people who have heard both the TPR and TRD exhausts, and all agree that they're about the same, but TPR is deeper. If EasyC passes by my house on his way back home, and his shop gets him his exhaust back, I might be able to set up a meet with another one of my friends who has the TRD exhaust and get a movie or two of both exhausts head to head.

The gains on the GT will be less. The exhausts are supposed to be in shipping now, so hopefully someone with a GT will dyno theirs when they receive it.
