When you're making a fiberglass box or molding the dash, how do you clear coat something so that it's smooth?

you have to use icing, sand it , prime it , sand it , paint it , clear it.

Alright, now what if I wanted to put clear coat on carbon fiber after it's been hardened?

I'm guessing nobody knows...?

if you took a carbon fiber hood to a paint shop, they would clear coat right on top of that . . .

if reference to glass. . .

after you make ur mold and do all ur forming and you use bondo to make it smooth. a lot of sanding.. more bondo. sanding. . . bla bla bla. . make it baby smooth. prime it, sand it. smooth blah.

take it to a body shop, and they will prime it with their primer and then paint it, and clear coat it.

Damn, that's pretty good!... I'd say if you guys had enough time you could make your own body kits!
