I got pulled over today goin supposedly 71 on a 55...here's the story.

I was on an open highway with cars around me. I was behind a camry goin 60 and changed lanes then drove next to it. I looked a head and there was a cop parked on the shoulder. Passed him and he drove off and turn his lights on behind me. I pull over and he said i was goin 71 on a 55. So I told him how can that be when i wasnt even goin that fast and all the other cars around me was goin as fast as i am.

Do you guys think i can fight this and win??? I mean there was a lot of cars around me and i was goin with traffic. On the ticket it says he got me by laser...

DAMN IT!!! I HATE THE END OF THE MONTHS AND I HATE COPS!!!

its worth a try. besides theres a chance that he wont show up. and ask for a extension so he might forget wut really happened

Sometimes the cop who pulled you over won't show up to testify. Here's a tip for you. Schedule then say day before call the court that you have to reschedule to next week because of an emergency. Chances are that donut lover won't show. And that means nobody is there to testify the case.

i have to schedule if im goin to testify??? how much would that be anyway? it also says on the ticket speed limit 55 and max speed 65...

looks like you got caught with your pants down..obviously he didn't see all the other cars around you going faster as you have the high profile car. al he sees are car,car,car, celica, car,car,car. if he sees a row of those going 71mph...which car do you think he will tag and most likely win in court?

will a judge believe a celica that was speeding more than a corolla? probably. it's all about his quota and you got caught. try doing a trial by written declaration...or just appear incourt. you have a 35% change the officer will not even show up and you are off the hook. better than nothing.

u should go ahead and fight..nothing wrong with trying especially if you know you weren't going that fast.

all cars are going 71mph maybe, but none of them look like it. celica not only looks like its going 71mph, multiply the speed by 3. thats the speed a celica looks like its going.
i dunno man, i think it might be a waste of time to fight it probably. i mean if he doesnt show up then ur lucky, but if he shows up and you say that you were driving 65mph, i dont think its gonna make much difference. you lose about 5 hrs of work, thats where you lose ur money already

listen to this.. my gf dad is a cop and he says at the end of every month they give excessive tickets out to meet a quota they are given.If they dont they dont get paid as much as they would if they do meet the quota. so if you get pulled over ask cop to see the radar gun.. because they will pull over a nice looking car before they will pull over a speeding mini van. Id say fight it

if it was laser and there were other cars around THATS GOOD REASON TO SAY the laser didnt get an accurate reading also if your car is a dark color laser doesnt read off it very well just a few tips

And also remmeber that if the lasers are supposed to be calibrated ask to see the calibrration papers and if he cant prove that it has been then you win.
