when i drive normally you cant tell if there is anything wrong when i shift from 1st to 2nd gear. it is only when i shift in the higher rpms. for example when i redline it is not as smooth of a shift as if somthing may be grinding. or it could be in my head i dont know. please help. i have 27000 miles on my car and wonder if i should go to the dealership and have them check it out before my warrenty ends.

are you pushing in your clutch far enough? you may be grinding gears cause it's not engaging. or maybe you messed up your synchros...

Have your local Toyota service dept to take a look at it. You might want to tell them to adjust your clutch springs? so that the 1-2 shift isn't so nasty.

Don't tell them you were racing. Tell them that you were just getting on the freeway and had to pick up speed quickly and noticed that the 1-2 shift is nasty.

I was having problems shifting down from 5 to 4, id grind all the time. I took it to the dealer and they gave me a new transmission grin . It takes the dealership about 4 hours to do something like that. I got my car back the same day thumbsup

I've had my 02 GTs for about 4 mounths, my buddy has a GSR intergra...He was ragging me because my celi wont hardly chirp second gear...I can drive to, I'm not shifting like a grandma. Is this due to a weak OE clutch or what?

Damn the premature rev limiter
