Well today i finally got to a dyno place and did 3 pulls. I was planning on fine tuning also but ran out of time. My car was running a lil rich. Just for those that dont know i have a GT and im running 6 psi.

Run 1: 209 whp 172 tq

Run 2: 208 whp 170 tq

Run 3: 205 whp 169 tq

So there ya go, the kit makes power and plenty of it. Once we fine tune it and lean it up a bit i excpect it around 220 whp and 180 tq.

Thats awesome! thumbsup
I would have expected turbo to give more HP/torque than that though. Its about same stats as the 98-01 accord now 200 hp 190torque.

Sorry, im talking whp, theres a big difference, the accord doesnt make 200 whp, it makes 200 at the crank, my car is making around 250 to the crank. Also my car is way lighter, big difference.

No stock internals are fine well up into the high 200 whp marks. If you going higher than that, then you would need to build the engine as well as get a stronger tranny. I plan to run 6 psi daily and 10 psi high boost. At 10 psi im guessing around 250 whp so i should still be fine on stock internals.

Yeah the stock tranny handles 6 psi no problem. The stock tranny has been shown to go at around 250 lbs tq. So even 10 psi should be fine on the stock tranny. At 10 psi i expect to make about 250 whp and around 200 lbs tq. So i should be fine. Now i wouldnt run that daily, even if it can hold it, thats just a lot of strain on the stock engine and tranny every day. But its definately fine for a high boost setting just for racing. You wouldn't want to go more than 6-7 psi daily, trust me, thats plenty for daily driving. Also i ran my car tonight for the first time with radials. A huge improvement over my last times with the street tires. My best was a high 9.2 in the 1/8th full interior, only spare tire and jack removed. With some more practice i see an 8.9 which would be about a 13.8 in the 1/4 thumbsup

I want one! Did you put it in yourself, or did you have a shop do it? Excuse the question, but how expensive is it all together? costs above a beyond the price of the equipment. Thanks. Awesome info BTW

I think the GT kit retails for $3500. Installation depends on the shop, anywhere from $500-$800. My team and i did it in one weekend. There was 4 of us working on it.

Spend some money to upgrade the internals and stronger engine mounts with a flex bar so the engine doesn't kick back too much when you acclerate hard.

I think a stock WRX boosts at 8 psi. John, looks like you've got work to do. happywink
