Ok I took my car in yesterday for the final We Owe List when I purchased the car. I said something to them about it pulling to the right, they checked it and said they will replace all four tires. spineyes

Ok here's where it gets interesting, after three people test drove the car wtf.

They said they are replacing my stock GTS Yocos with Michelins. I don't know if I like that idea, so I thought b4 it's to late I would ask here. What should I go with, maybe pay a difference to get better huh. Or should I ask for the old ones back and use them as a backup? confused Or just live with the Pull?

Thanks in advance. thumbsup

Well, I've heard that "pulling" is often caused by tires, and so-called wheel alignment sometimes has nothing to do with it. So if one tire is causing the problem and needs to be replaced, since the car is pretty new I suppose they think all the tires need to be replaced. JMHO

Improper alignment will cause the car to pull, and will eventually damage the tire(s), so after that point, even if you get the car aligned, the car will still pull because of the tire.

Could also be caused by improper inflation among other things.

Dude - I don't think the dealer is obligated to put stock quality tires on a pre-owned. Just a thought. I'm sure the Michelins are adequate until you want to upgrade, then good spares. thumbsup

In general, it's my impression that Michelin makes pretty good tires. It seems like they tend to be more expensive than a lot of other brands. Like every manufacturer though, I'm sure they make cheap tires and really good tires, so it all depends on what model they intend to use.

Personally, I wouldn't really want a standard touring model on a Celica; I'd want at least sport touring or a performance tire.

this is what I have now http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?...artnum=05VR6680 [tirerack.com]

so what they want to put on for FREE mind you has to be better right. Or yes Toyo t1-s, nitto nt555 or yokohama AVSES100 in that order. If I don't get the Mich then I will have to leave whats on for now they said. Since they have these in stock I guess. Toyota dealer. http://www.bobbyrahaltoyota.com of PA.

Thanks for the help. thumbsup

Well I did it, since it was a free so called upgrade. They spent mad money on these bad boys. They do make a lil noise but handle very well from what I can tell at this point. They respond instantly. thumbsup

The jury is still out on whether I like them or not. thumbsup thumbsdown

There invoice that I would have paid said $772 I'm thinking that's way to much, thank god I didn't get that bill. I'm sure I could get some nice treads for around the 400 mark. grin

Ok I had this We Owe from the dealer since day one. They have not completed what they said they would. So I made a few calls and now they are saying they may have to completely repaint the car. Since I'm paranoid at this point, can they do this and I will not notice it. There is no cost to me yet, but the hassle is making me nuts. I had the car in the Shop so to speak now four times and the car is only a few months old. There we own if very vague btw, I'm wondering what I should do. Live with it, or let them repair it. Also you can't notice most of the problems unless you look for it, but keep in mind this is a so called brand new car. Plus it bugs me, I want it to be as they said it was when I bought it. spineyes

rofl

Is that the original stock bumper they say they owe, or a kit? The seats are supposed to be leather?

Wow, for all the stuff they're doing, I'd just ask if they could maybe throw in a 2nd Celica. grin
