the baseline is the base intake mwr tune all other tunes are experiments we did with lowering the lift engagement to 5700 rpm
my mods are cai (injen)/ trd exhaust / pfc

well origanally it was set at 6000 for this particular tune, and the power didnt dip at all going through cam changeover
so we decided to experiment and see how much power we could make with lif engaging earlier
we made power earlier but not without that little dip
i was wonder ( this is for the tuning crowd) do you know if its possible to adjust the cam angles in smaller increments
cuz we could have made a smoother changeover but the commander only allows you to adjust every 500 rpms
the guy kept saying with an rsx you can make cam angle adjustments at 250rpm increments

the overall gain is cool, 175 whp with i/e/pfc?! thumbsup

i was wonderin what other things are you considering to smooth out that dip...

to smoothout the dip we are going to need something only time could provide, trial and error.
my opinion of the pfc - i think is the best thing out for the celica. it offers total controlability, and that is almost unmeasureable in the eyes of tuners.
in the future i hope to get my hands on that tpr header (crosses fingers) and hopefully tpr cams ( crosses toes)
i want to be a naturally aspirated monster thumbsup

i'm sorry i don't really know if i'm reading it right can you say the total power gain from this? i know this is not your purpose just to gain insane power, but i just wanted to know. it looks like +3hp and +2tq

Hell yea it is, especially if you get it tuned for your car.
I had the lucky opportunity to test a pfc in my car and it was fucking sweet.

How hard is it to install something like this? I thought that when you lower the lift engaugement that you lose more power when the motor switches cams? Did you order you PFC with any of the pretunnings settings on it or did you do everything yourself? Also are you tunning this PFC on the Dyno Jet to test all your settings.

it literally takes about 5 minutes to install the pfc
1. disconnect battery
2. take off ecu cover
3. remove connectors to ecu
4. unbolt stock ecu
5. connect pfc
6. install ecu cover
7. reconnect battery
8. allow pfc to adjust to car ( dont forget this step, it allows pfc to run better, especially at idle. approx. time 30 min)


we did lose a little power but in the end, we gained more than we lost
i ordered the ecu with a pretune for just an intake
then i installed my exhaust so i thought i should have it tuned
all tuning was done on a dynojet
