ok i keep hearing this clang clang sound from the wheel, and a squeaky sound too, whenever i start rolling or accelarating...at first i thought it was my strut tower bar but i took the bar off and it still make that sound..the clang clang sound it like plastic hitting each other, not metal..i went out to see if anything is loose on the bottom and nothing is out of place..i don't know wat's going on..and the noise stop after like 2second after acceleration in each gear same for the squeak..the sound comes on when i go over speed bump and some road bump too..any idea??? i have to wait til monday to call and set up appointment for inspection..

Had the same problem once with my eclipse... Like my brake pad had a spacer come lose so when i braked it would clamp down and stop the noise and when i go really fast it would stop for some reason

Might want to check your brakes. Most newer brake systems have a wear down indicator, which really isn't an indicator per se it actually makes that noise you described.

dude its so crazy how ppl keep posting up the same probs that im having with my celi... so, that sound is the brakes? i thought it might be the suspension since not only happens when i hit a bump but also when i turn the wheel left and right

that's wat i thought about the squeaky sound, is the suspension..but whenever i stand beside the car and push down from the top and try to bounce it, it doesn't make the squeaky sound at all..

well whatever it is, im crossing my fingers for both of us that its covered by warranty, if not (since mine has kind of gone away) ill just say screw it until i have money to buy performance brakes/suspension (whatever it is) so that ill not only be fixing the prob, but also use it as the excuse to spend money on handling neway tell us what they say on monday...thnx

I know this sounds retarded... but also check to make sure all the lugs on your rims are tight. Stupid me, I was working on my suspension, put the rims back on in a hurry to see how the ride was, and didn't tighten my front left that well. I drove for a good 1800 miles before I decided to check my lugs!! I went from Delaware, to Kentucky, and back with a lose wheel, and raced and beat an Eclipse after driving 500 some miles on the way back!!!!

it turned out that the bolt's thread had came loose on my front Right Axle, explaining the rattling and squeaking sound..cost me $126 to have it fix..$75= inspection the other half is labor and "environment fee"...watever the hell that mean..they tighten all chassis bolt, tight both axle bolts (Left and Right Axle)...that also reduces the key vibrations at 3.5krpm down to about 80%..so much betta now...so if you got have the same problem, have ur mechanic check on ur axle bolts..oh yeah it'll cost $819.13 just to replace the Right Front Axle, if the problem reoccur..ain't that crazy?? dealer are ripped off, but they do know their shit though..problem solved..For Now..
