okayyy...i need your advise on this...i am looking at a 2002 gts and a 2003 gt...its really hard for me to decide btw the two..the hp of gts wants me to go for it plus the owner is only 300 miles from where i live while gts is 03, cheaper, but it is 1000 miles ...
assuming they have all the standard features which one should i got for and why???
..mileage is almost the same for both..

GTS you will thank yourself later bro trust me. GTS cars take premium fuel only. a GT doesn't, umm GT's dont have LIFT, GTS does let's see is basically on a personal preference. You like speed? or you more into looks? ask yourself that? what are plans for this car? Do you plan on going to the track? To tell you the truth I didnt know celicas came in GT and GTS but that was when i first started looking into them for buying one. I bought my GTS because it was the top of it's class for the celicas. And then when I felt that extra push from the car at high RPMS I was completly sold on buying the GTS haha I almost wet my pants it was so up-"LIFTING"

Me personally, I went with the GT. Quick question: Is it a stick, or an auto? My GT will smoke an auto GTS. The GTS is faster, but from what I hear you'll have to worry more about upkeep. Lift bolts like to break... Plus, you can always get a turbo with the GT.

yeah it has a stick shift...no fun driving an automatic celica how much does the turbo thing cost? well i love speed..but i don't think if i am going to spend on some aftermarket product to increase its hp..atleast not in the near future.. i am not planning to use it for racing..will perhaps use it atleast for 3 yrs...i am going to graduate next yr...soo don't know how its going to be after that.. hmmmmmmmmmmmm i was just looking at the scion..and ofcourse its not even close to celica...it looks like an ordinary but a solid car...it has a very attractive package for around 16k=brand new..plus its going to be cheaper to insure/finance...ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH what to do...

don't get an 02' gts...you'll be getting the weakest gts model with it's lowered rev limit...

the GT has the same power, if not just a little bit more, below 6000 RPM - its a lot of coin for power thats only available little of the time... the GTS does come with nicer wheels and 4 wheel disk brakes..
I have a GT, and love it - but I must admit, the 6 speed and the extra power would be fun - BUT if you're serious about turbo, there's that C2 kit that gives you 210 to the wheels AND the power is available almost all the time - thats my $4000 dream...
if you drive in traffic a lot, the 6 speed will piss you off a bit more too..

GTS is basically have the same power as a GT, until you hit the lift (6200rpm). if you're looking for a fast car, this isn't it! if you're looking for a fairly all around car, GTS is your choice. if you're looking for something decent priced and provide daily driving, a GT is your choice. and also, 6speed wouldn't make any difference in traffic compare with a 5 speed cause you'll never hit past 3rd gear in traffic...

Dont get 2002 GTS If your gonna go turbo or a lot of mods go for GT but if your just gonna do like rims and a drop with no serious engine mods go for GTS 6 Speed is better just because its 6 Youll have to pay more in fuel in a GTS once its Premim If you cant decide get the Scion cause its right in the middle of the GT and GTS

If you are sticking to your guns and saying you're not going to mod it much at all...at least not for a while if you do...get the GTS. Sure a Turbo GT would kill a GTS...but you said you didn't want or need a race car etc...and it would cost you 5grand or more to turbo and tune...and then the whole premium fuel factor wouldn't be a factor any longer. If you just want a nice car to drive go with the GTS. Plus i'd imagine if you go to sell it in 3 or 4 years...I would think it would have a little more value since they are a little rarer and generally more sought after.
Some guys said stuff about upkeep with the GTS with lift bolts etc...the GTS is the one you say has the extended warranty so i wouldn't worry there...plus a warranty is always a good thing to have...even with toyota's.

Dude, yer in NJ and you have to go 1000 miles for a GTS? What's that about? I'm in CT, and I found hundreds within 300 miles over the summer - purchased from Boston in Sept.
