Ok, so I have enough money to either buy a Kaminari body kit and have it painted and installed, or instead I could get a 4-wheel brake upgrade from SSBC? I'm getting the Hotchkis Stage 2 TVS for christmas. I'd like to start autocrossing at some of the local meets around here.

I think right now I'm leaning towards the bodykit, because I'd probably get more enjoyment out of it than the brakes. However, I do like the factory looks of the car, and wouldn't mind the "sleeper" look with powerful brakes at all four corners (Brake upgrade up front, and drum-to-disc in back). Brakes would be 2 pistons up front with 12 inch rotors, and single piston 12 inch rotors out back for my GT.

If I could only find a local person who works at a paint shop that could paint the kit at cost (price of materials). I'm looking. What would you do?

Depends really. If you do a lot of cornering when racing, definitely get the brakes. If you do more pimp than race, then go with the kit! Go with what you'll use more of. If you want to race and don't care to lose since you'll still look good, then SHIT... go with the kit. I don't think it's a difficult decision! rofl

Downshifting is key, but bigger brakes mean you can enter a corner quicker, brake right before, downshift in the turn, pedal to the floor out! goodjob
