It's completely safe for the car... unless you have a manual and decide to leave it in gear! crazy grin

i think auto-starts are illegal, due to the clutch overide.

this pops up especially to my attention 'cause today i had my car frontend sat upon by another car.

other car (97 nissan altima) had an auto-start and left it in gear. okay, so he started it, but was left in reverse, car went over two curb-median strips and his rear bumper ended up on my hood. this ruined my carbon fiber, scratched my bumper/fender, and ruined one of my headlights. it was the oddest accident scene. an accident with two parked cars.

so, obviously i am anti-remote-start.

had a disposable camera in my car so as soon as i get them developed i'll showcase the horror.

dude i feel sorry for you. that totally sucks.

but remote-start for manual tranny cars are bad and illegal.

a remote-start for an automatic is another plus side for autos. grin

thats not a bad price for a viper install.

my good friend can hook up a clifford alarm with remote start and other goodies, plus install for less than $300. grin
