basically, the shorter the stick, the less time it takes to change gears.

but like it says in the thread, you will need better bushings. thumbsup

The shorter you go the more stiffness it's going to be. as far a short throws B&M has the shortest but when it comes to the shortest TWM. Since TWM is the shortest it's much stiff than B&M. Stick with stock and practice on your shifting more, but if you really are decided to for a shortshifter, I'd say go for B&M.

B&M will have a shorter throw than stock.
TWM will have a shorter rod than stock, but not a shorter throw than stock.

go for B&M

you can shift as fast with the stock shifter... and the stock one is way more accurate and smooth...

the "firmness" that comes with a SS makes it harder to shift fast and accurately.

word I am accually getting a "longer" shifter for when i start autocrossing next spring. Your sinchros (sp?) can only match up so fast so "slamming" the short throw is really just messing up your tranny

your fine man, like posted before, B&M for the short throw do to the different physics of it, or TWM for the look of it being like 1 1/2" shorter. Since you said you wanna race I'd get the B&M
