i have gunmeatal 18" montegi mr7's and they are gunmeatal...

what do i need to do to repaint them?
what products can i use?

is there any steps of what i can to to repaint all of my rims to make it look better and newer?

anyone here have experience that they are willing to share?

Just make sure to sand it down first. Wet-Sand? At least from what I've heard. There's also a specific type of spray you use, I think it's used for the heat or something. I dunno, this is from what I've been told. So I could be wrong, but just giving you a little idea of what to do.

how much will it be if i took it to the shop to do it professianlly?

i did my own wheels too, as well as my car. take a piece of 320 and a red scotch pad, both 3M brand, and scuff them down. make sure there are no shiny painted areas left, but also take care not to scuff it down to bare aluminum either. next spray a good primer such as PPG brand and sealer to give the new paint something to stick to. then spray your base, about five coats, then your clear(if you are using a double stage paint). most wheels are painted with a single stage paint from the factory, but this will give you a better shine.

professionally done at the shop where i work is about 400-750 depending on the wheel shape.

750? Ouch you could probably buy a new set of rims in any color you wanted for that price..
