i just noticed that my right low mtec blew out... and this sucks its a bitch to change those out
and i dont know how it happend, i wore gloves for the install and didnt touch it against anything, what a piece.
what are some bulbs that are compareable, that i could possibly buy in a single pack?? instead of just puting the stock bulb in, maybe i could put in another "polar white" bulb.

Eurodezigns are good. Whiter than MTECs. I don't know how long it lasts though...

well i figured out how to put bulbs in easier now... but still it blew out, it lasted for about 2 months and i didnt want one to be brighter then the other so i put both of my stock lows back in...
next up i guess ill do something differnt, Eurodezigns or something, i know i want HID's ultimately but i dont have enough money for them, so i will never get them...

They operate at 4000K while the mtecs operate at 4350K But I compared them together and the Silverstars are a lil different color then the MTEC's. The Mtec's have a lil purple-ish color to them and the Silverstars don't. But I see that the Silverstar's are brighter to me for some reason. Either way they look just as nice and waaaaay better then stock

if you have seen, everyone posts when their bulb blows out and blames it on the bulb... the only i consider reliable are PIAA and MTEC, wouldn't buy anything else
just cause they didn't touch it doesn't mean anything, a connection could have been messed up...anything can relate to it, it's electrical..something could have came loose. it's not the bulb, there are plenty of people on here who have had bulbs last a long time...and those are the ones who knew what they were doing.

maybe each car is different in the way it treats its bulbs? Like how one person has no CELs and another has many, even though they have the same intake installed correctly?

Could MTEC have changed their production process lately? I remember zero of these threads a year ago... now there are three a week. I'm lost.
Anyway, I still trust MTEC or PIAA the most. Other than those, Polarg are good. Polarg is one of the few companies that uses colored glass, rather than just spraying a colored coating (which even PIAA does).

Right now I have two completely fried low-beam harnesses, courtesy of MTEC! Also, one of my parking lights has just blown, but at least it didn't fry!! My high beams seem to be OK, but I hafta be putting a strain on them keeping them on all the time until I get the repairs...I'm pretty much done with MTEC!

the lows are easier to install than the high... but both are easy if you take your time. If the lows are easier to install then that should be fine. I installed my highs on the GT and I remembered it being pretty cake. Hmmm...

alright, for one thing. it's really easy to change bulbs, even the 9005. i've changed countless lightbulbs on my paseo and celica, never had a problem so far. silverstars are dim, i had them after i had piaa extreme white+ (i thought it would be an upgrade, thought wrong!) and mtec's 4350k isn't all that hot, try the piaa extreme force @4700k, or the spark blue @ 7500k for the h7. and for the record, there always will be defect in every product. look at the pc industry, there always will be a 2% defect. it's only a small friction of people with problem, just look at how many bulbs was sold per month...
