I have a 2004 automatic GT. What are the mods I can buy to get more torque out of my Celica? When I press down on the accelerator, I get a very slow response it seems. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

TRD Supercharger with GReddy E-manage. Just PM SLVCELI on his setup. I assume you mean more low-end torque.

I hate to tell you this but you might not be happy with the torque you get from the basic bolt-ons like the intake and exhaust (dont bother with header it wont work very well at all once you have intake and exhaust). The intake and exhaust might be a cool thing to get for a while and just something to do to your car but dont expect a huge gain from them. The supercharger provides a great amount of torque but is a huge expense. O and dont get a short ram if your getting an intake. Make sure you get a cold air intake or else you will lose a lot of low-end torque.

I know RMM's loses a lot of power down low. Here is the dyno http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v158/jlj192004/dynormm.bmp

sorry to tell you that there really aren't that many options for the auto GT. There is hope though if you don't mind saving up.

The basic bolt-ons might be what you are looking for but after having had the cai and exhaust on for a while the power just wasnt what I was looking for and the opportunity to be the guinea pig for the supercharger presented itself.

if you don't want to spend the money for a super charger, you might want to consider getting a greddy emanage with bolt-ons (that way you'll at least get the most possible power out of your mods)

we all need more torge better just supercharge if you want faster acceleration down low but if you want a serouis ammount of torque turbo charging is better and may cost a little bit less-plus you get the cool bov sound of a turbo thats my 2 cents
respect the gt-s

Trade it and get a manual shift. I have a manual gt and have no problem with torque.
If your gonna drive it, drive it or get out of the way!

Torque is merely horsepower at a certain RPM. The more horsepower you make and the lower it is (RPM wise) the higher your torque will be. So you can also take the torque rating at a certain RPM and find the horsepower of the car. If you want a shit load of torque without I/H/E, then just modify the tranny and you will out torque a V8, but don't expect to go above 30 mph.

hum, yup, the standard I-H-E won't give you much power in hp or tq at all. since you bought an auto, you'll just have to live with it or get another car. V6 always have plenty of tq, if you insist to keep your auto gt, s/c is the only expensive way to go...
