I have a N1 style muffler and my local shop custom bent me a 2.5" pipe, and it sounds pretty deep.

Edit: Sorry posted this before you replied again. No it doesn't sound like it's a crx with a hole in the muffler. I can make a video with sound if you wanna see how it sounds.
Do you mean you already have a full N1 exaust and you will replace the pipes, or are you gonna do it the way I did it, where I got the muffler(Not made by Apexi or anything, just some random universal one that looks like N1) and custom piping.

I dont think there is an exhaust system for the Celica that would make our cars sound ricey like Hondas. admit it, you hear a lot of ricey exhausts from Hondas and hardly Toyotas (Celica, MRS, Corolla, Supra, even a Camry - this does not include Vans <- who the hell puts an exhaust on a van?!) Apexi N1 exhaust system with an added cat-back piping would make it sound deeper and louder. be careful and good luck.
I've mastered the art of the After Image Technique.

I already ordered the muffler and am going to take my car to the muffler shop to get custom pipes bent. Got the muffler brandnew for 40 bucks including shipping off of ebay motors.

the muffler you got off ebay is not an authentic Apexi N1 muffler, it's just some no name brand muffler that looks like N1, pretty much what I have.
Now the reason why hondas sound ricey is because you hear riced out exausts on mostly civics, and civics have 1.6 liter engines. Put an exaust on an echo, or xB for that matter and it will sound just like crx with a hole poked in the exaust.

my first exhaust setup was an ebay n1 muffler with 2.5 piping. the exhaust sounded amazing, really deep sound and really really loud. i got looks anywhere i went, and a lot of people thought i had more than just a custom exhaust done to my car. it was a little too loud (i couldnt even hold a conversation in the car with my gf) so i went with trd. imo, trd sounds decent, but its not that deep (maybe because i have a gt). so now i have an apexi n1 and this fits my tastes the best. but yea, ur setup will sound really nice, not ricey at all
