door mirror removal

anyone know how i can remove the actual mirror itself from the housing? im gonna repaint it myself and i wanna try and get everything. i tried pulling it out but thats not getting anywhere.

Just like the professionals, cover the mirror with paper (such as newspaper) and masking tape thumbsup
