whats up y'all, i've got a 2000 GT w/ sun/moon roof and its flaking little things, it started on the drivers side and has swept to the other side making it very blurry to look out of, does anyone else have this problem, what do i do? replace that mess? a'ight then y'all, peace...
I think it is just the 00' and 01' that have that problem. Correct me if i am wrong. I know like he said ^^ the newer models have glass, instead of the cheap a** plastic.
i actually fixed mine, we scuffed it down with some 320 sand paper and sprayed clear coat on it. then went back over it with some 1500 sand paper and recleared it again. worked great, no problems with it yet, but i will warn you, it takes forever to scuff that stuff.
wuz up ppls. i have the same problem with my 2000 celica. would it be cheaper to retint it or just get the whole thing replaced? since the new sunroofs use glass.
I have a 2002 and I also have not seen a problem with it. What are the 00-01 sunroofs made of? Plexi? There might be a couple of solutions from a paint store, specifically one that carries automotive products from 3M
My name is Chase and I like chocolate pie with my pre-marital sex.
it'd probably be cheaper to have it recleared/tinted at a body shop than buying the whole new sunroof. my rear quarter glass windows ran me 215 a piece, so i'm guessing the sunroof is more than that.
