Where did you get it?
How much was it?
Is it a replica?
How well does it fit?
And finally, can I still get one from Isaac?

I was going to go with aerotrends.com They said it was a replica, but also said they haven't had any problems with it. I just need the front bumper.

you can get authentic bomex from aerotrends, i bought one from them last year. price with shipping and install was around 1200 bucks, but then i decided to change the color of the car while i was at it and it went up from there. but yeah, aerotrends is a authorized bomex distributor, so i dunno where you got it was a replica. to make sure, get pics with the bomex logos that are glassed into the inside of the front and rear bumper covers. thumbsup fitment is perfect with the authentic kits. i just didn't like the front liscence plate studs, and ground them out and filled them in.

I called them to ask about shipping and they we like "...and just so you know, it is a replica. But we haven't had any problems with it." *shrug*

Edit: By the way, yours looks amazing

Sorry, as of mid 2004 I've chosen to no longer sell bodykits.

I dont like that I scrape on everything with it. I got mine from another board member and he was sponsored by bomex. I was told the kit on my car is one of the 1st test kits made. So because of that it has a couple fitment issues. nothing major though.

overall I like it. I've beaten the crap outa it at the track and steep driveways and stuff and it has taken it like a champ lol. Only got 1 crack so far which is amazing considering what it goes through rofl

good luck in your hunt. thumbsup

how do you guys like the rear? I think it looks kind of funky. But the rest of the kit is sweet.

I checked with the official Bomex site and looked at most of their company links...most sites were dead ends as they all seemed to have stopped selling Bomex kits or didn't have them for the Celica.

I'll probably end up ordering from aerotrends within the next few days.

DUSTY at www.mvpmotorsports.com [mvpmotorsports.com] can hook you up with a genuine bomex kit.
But he says bomex customer service sucks ass...So it might take a while or
whatever. But he can get it for you.

I have authentic bomex. I got mine off ebay. The guy just sold his celica. I was still in the original box. I put it on about a week later and if fit like a glove. I believe www.i-m-racing.com [i-m-racing.com] has them .

Lucky_317 that looks great, where did you get it from? Did your paint shop have any issues with painting the canards black, or was it no problem?

Thanks for the link blitzceli, I'll have to call them later and make sure theirs are authentic because the price looks pretty low.

Authentic means that Bomex made the kit. A replica is someone else copying Bomex's design, and some times that means the mold used could be a copy of a copy of a copy. If a replica isn't made with much quality in mind, it might not fit your car. A bodyshop might have to do some work to get it connected or might not be able to help you at all.

For example, Blitz never made a kit for the Celica. So my front bumper was obviously a replica, however a decent quality one.

My suggestion is that you only go with sites that have been recommended by people. https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/forum0_UBB6.html

I got mine from another celica owner. it was already painted and had those stickers lol. the stickers have since been removed and the kit don't look quite so nice rofl I drive too many freeway miles so it's been battered by rocks and stuff. the black is just spray paint that the last owner did himself. didnt come out to bad either.

does anyone know how low does bomex body kit goes with the factory 15" rims? well I found the kit for around $460 at http://www.gofastperformance.com/index.php/cPath/1_111_121 but then I dunno if it is authentic or not...two more questions:
1. how much estimate does it cost for me to get it paint and install?
2. does anyone where can I get the authentic one for a good price?

I called Aerotrends again and they have replicas in stock and can get authentic ones from Bomex's warehouse. I told them I could wait for the good stuff since Bomex recently did a price drop so authentics are currently costing less than replicas. rofl I paid $240 + $160 shipping and they said it would be approximately 3-4 weeks. cool
