if i paint my housing black for my front lights, will it effect the output of light. Basically will it light up the road less or the stay the same, i figure it wont light up the road as much.

if you paint it black you prob..won't see anything..light output will lessen..i painted my stock side marker blak and now it's pitch black..can't see anything..lol..look nice on black car..all black on the outside..

Yeah, of course it would. It's illegal also.
If you are talking about painting the piece inside of the light that everyone paints, then it's fine.
Besides, there are vinyls to tint the headlights.

Shouldn't change anything. Just be sure you only paint the housing, and not the reflectors...
