Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior MTECs blew out on me

Welps, its been 2 years of reliable service with my MTECs. Just last night, the driver side H7 blew out.

I really love the overall performance that the MTECs provided my Celica. Compared to my teammates' hyperwhites, my hyperwhites were the brightest and the whitest.

So I'm in the market for new H7s, you guys have any suggestions on what to get? I'm thinking about getting new MTECs and just use one bulb (because only one of my H7s blew out.) Im also considering Piaas because I heard that you can get a lifetime warrenty on them (or something like that).

I was checking out the eCelica Store and the price for the H7s is fucking great.

It states that they produce an "ultra violet" light. i also like that it covers burn-outs. plus other listed information that seems important.

well the general consensus is piaa, sylvania silverstars, and mtecs. piaas are $70 , i owned some silverstars and they were a dul yellow at $40 ...i've never been disappointed with mtecs...

Thanks CT. I've bought my MTECs off of eBay, and have not been disappointed with them.

The only reason I'd go with Piaas is for the warranty they give, plus XMangt1 has a nice Piaa setup going on

what warranty does piaa give?

i have full PIAA xtreme white with EVERY bulb in my headlight and fogs and i freakin love it
only other setup i would do is full MTEC

i have PIAA and they are wonderful...but i have never really heard anything bad about MTECs

Well over here, my friend sold my other friend some Piaas and he was given a warranty on them.

This was at Tweeter, who are also Piaa dealers. My friend who works at tweeter told me that Piaa gives warranties (lifetime?) for any light products you buy from them. Whether they burn out, dim, or anything else caused by the bulb itself - they will replace the bulbs for brand new ones.

Also, MTECPOWER from ebay, and many others, offer a LifeTime Warranty on MTECS. so after searching and deliberating, I am gonna get me another pair of MTECS.

i was high one time and i bought those "hyperwhite" bulbs from autozone (you know, the ones that comes one bulb a package?)

well, i can use that and ship it to you. all you have to do is pay half the price of the total (item price and shipping price); does that sound good to you?

wait, i think i forgot to state that: I will be using the single bulb package that i bought from autozone to ship the other "single mtec" bulb to you.

in reality, this should cut shipping price in half from the TWO BULB package, right?
