the stock amp is on the passenger side kick panel. Wouldn't work too well, it's not a great amp, it's designed to work with low power. Plus you have a GT, so unless you have the JBL sound package you don't have the amp anyway. Plus it doesn't have the outputs for a sub, you'd have to wire it in yourself. Not worth it.

well first thing is do you have a GTS? cause as far as i know only the GTS comes with a stock amp, i bought mine used so im not sure if its an option for the GT or not. second if you do have one, its directly behind the glove box. if you pull the glove box down and look all the way to the right near the door, you will see a little metal silver box, thats the amp, now i dont think that amp can power much more than ur highs and really just the stock ones, i wouldnt hook a sub up to it, the amp prob. wouldnt push it like you want it to

It's on the passenger side, under the dash, behind the glove box. You gotta take your glove box out if you wanna get to the amp (or, it certainly helps to do so). It's the box with two wiring harnesses attached to it. Putting two 10's on a stock radio serves no purpose other than show. If you want a good sounding radio, you gotta drop some coin into it. You'll need a real amp to drive the subs (that's the only way to get "boom"), and you'll need a deck with a sub pre-out for the amp. I'd say you need $500 for a decently crappy setup, $2000 for something to be proud of.

How powerful in wattage is the stock gts amp? Has anyone done a setup with an aftermarket headunit with preouts to the stock amp and a preouts over to the sub amp?

ain't got no preouts, just wireharnesses you'd have to hardwire em. Added to the fact that the stock amp is such a low power it can't run from an aftermarket headunit.

I don't mind making complicated harnesses to make it happen. The amp is plenty powerful enough for me. I do not need competition audio in my car, just something that sounds good.
