I was getting an oil change yesterday and I got a chance to see 2 customers come in because there was a weird noise coming from there car or something. Well the toyota mechanic checked it out and they told the customer that something was just lose and tightened it for him for no charge. They could have told him that something major was wrong (like the customer had thought) and charged him a lot then they should, but they were honest.

A second customer had a CEL light on and they told him it was something simple and that they reset the ECU and it should be fine now and there was nothing major wrong with it (like the customer thought once again).

Good to see some honest dealers!

I think most Toyota dealerships are pretty good. I took my car in with a lot of things to check out, and they did it all for FREE and just charged me hardly anything for oil change/tire rotation.

It all depends on the kind of management/people that work there. I've seen/heard of shady ones too.

While doing a bit of research for something completely unrelated to cars, I came across this article... its a long read and probably meaningless to most people of this site... but as I was reading it, I thought of certain managers of Toyota Service Centers being somewhat similar to that of Bally Total Fitness Center's managers...

the interesting read...

good to see some dealerships are actually customer friedly. sucks that those dealerships are a minority and that the vast majority of toyota dealerships are absolutely horrible with customer service.

Who in this forum told the story about a dealership trying to tell him that, on the GTS, the pre-installed aftermarket CAI was a turbo? rofl

There are still some artists out there drawing the wrong picture, but I must agree that Toyota dealers are generally vibrant and generous

hahahaha...

wait till its something that isnt as easily fixed as resetting the ECU...

or wait untill you actually go in for warantee work...

dealerships for the most part are all assholes... warantee's are fucking scams, because once you read the contract you see the giant loopholes for the dealers...

They are honest to your face, but not behind your back. Everyone wants to profit on something. Put two and two together...
