i tried searching the forums for anything on underglo kits, but it keeps sayin SQL error so i guess ill just post this. i got my underglo kit put on, and i got the varad flat bar bulbs, so i didnt think youd be able to see the bulbs outside. but the other night i got pulled over because in KS its illegal if you can see the bulbs, so im wondering if anyone has any tips on how to hide them better. the only ones you can see are the side ones so, any help would be awesome!

hey xTc_celica, \ here is a pic of what i was telling you where to mount the tubes, look at where the jack is in the pic, thats where the long metal bar is that runs down the car, you can see that i mounted his lights on the other side of this bar closer to the center, you should mount urs there also to avoid them being seen, it wont totally hide them but it will help , also you will get a better dispersed glow the further you mount them towards the center of the car, just remember not to go too far or else they wont be bright. just mount them like in the pic and make sure you mind the jack spots or else you will be kicking urself when you get a flat and need a jack

well you kno those lil zip tie lookin things that you mount the lights with? where could i get those at, and what are they called? because i dont kno what to mount my lights with. i did mine kinda ghetto, i jus drilled two holes in the plastic, then ran a reg. zip tie thru and held em like that.

more than likely no matter what you do it wont matter I have a set of green under my car and a set of 4 neons throughout the inside of my car. I got a ticket for the under car neons but not for the ones inside and you can only see the glow from underneath the car and not the bulbs. I never got a ticket for the ones on the inside and you can see the neon bulbs plain as day. I was told I was getting a ticket not for the light s underneath nessassarily but because of the green tint that it gave out because it is a pigment of blue. Which is illegal in Mississippi No Blue or Red! is what I was told. The officer said that I could have white bulbs underneath and I go down the road with them on and it would be OK but what is the purpose of having white. NONE!

you can get those zip ties at home depot and they have some with an attachment for a screw that can help hold it in place thats how I have mine done. Just drill a slightly smaller hole than the screw being used and it lods snugly into place.

i used black eletrical tape on the sides of the bulb, so that you cant see that side of the bulb. If you layer it enough the light wont go through the tape. If you do just the side enough so they cant see the bulb and leave enough thats not taped for it to still glow out you should be fine.
